Border crossings with food

Thank you so much for your help!

Do you have any experience or information on crossing borders with food? More specifically between the U.S. and Mexico, and by food, I mean dried foods such as pastas, rice, spices, seeds, nuts, flour, and even vitamins? I know there are tight regulations coming into the U.S., but I'm curious about leaving?

Thank you again.

I would expect that they won't even stop you at the border. See our experience at that border: http://ramblewriter.com/ramblings/?p=349
