I Will doing this trip some time this year, I would like to know
if you have any information about gas prices in Central America.

Thanks for the kudos and for taking time to post,

Gas prices very dramatically throughout the Americas. You will be safe budgeting on something in the range of 3-4USD/Gallon lumping Central and South together. Places like Ecuador, Bolivia and Venezuela (FOR SURE!) are cheaper, while place like Colombia, Chile and Peru are more expensive. In general prices are cheaper in Central than in South America. IF you plan on 3USD/Gallon in Central you should be close. You will be able to find unleaded gas throughout both Central and South America without any trouble. You also should be able to plan your route so that you won't have any trouble with fuel range between stations. We only ended up needing our extra fuel tanks going from Bolivia into Chile, which is a long stretch of beautiful nothing.

I'm going to add this to the 'Money Matters' section of the forum, and the 'Power in Numbers' section too, since it seems like your looking to meet some folks on the road.
