Temporary Break in Our Ramblings

Hi Ramble Readers,

From October 3rd to October 9th or 10th, Nick, Domino, and I will be sailing from Shelter Bay in Panama (near the port city of Colon), to Cartagena, Colombia.  Our truck is being shipped to Cartagena from Cristobal, a port in Colon, in a container without us.  We were fortunate to meet Kerri and Greg, a couple from Houston who are sailing us to Cartagena.  During our trip, we will stop in the San Blas Islands for a day or two, and then continue to Cartagena.

Click HERE to view the route of Coconut, the sailboat on which we are crossing.  The map updates every two hours, allowing you to track our ocean rambles.  NOTE: Coconut’s entire route is marked on this map.  We are joining the crew between Colon, Panama, and Cartagena, Colombia.  The above link will take you to www.iboattrack.com. Once there if you click on the link above the map that reads “Google maps” it will show you an areal photo of our location.

When we return to dry land, I will post a comprehensive guide to shipping your vehicle from Panama to Colombia, in addition to information about our trip.

Thank you to all of you who have been following our Central American travels.  We are excited to begin the other half of our journey – South America!

NOTE: Since our truck will be in a container, the Ramble Writer GPS map will not provide accurate locations during this time.
